The European Union Agency for Railways is profoundly saddened by the tragic train accident that occurred in Spain, near Adamuz.

On 14 December 2025, the Agency supported a festive event for Ukrainian refugee families in Valenciennes, France, where its headquarters are located, bringing children and families together for an afternoon of activities and shared moments.

This initiative aims to ensure that ERA's mandate continues to contribute to the highest level of rail safety, security and sustainability in Europe, in line with the evolving important needs.
