Following the entry into force of the new EU railway legal framework the Agency can now support stakeholders and customers by offering the following chargeable services in conformity with Art. 64(2d) & 80(2c) of Regulation (EU) 2016/796 and Art. 2(3) & (4) of the Regulation (EU) 2018/764:
|Vehicle authorisation support and guidance preliminary to pre-engagement request under Art. 22 of Regulation (EU) 2018/545|
|Support and guidance preliminary to formal application for vehicle authorisation to be placed on the market or vehicle type authorisation under Art. 21 & 24 of Directive (EU) 2016/797|
|Assessment activities in regards to changes to an already authorised vehicle (or series of vehicles) that are notified to ERA as Authorising Entity under Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2018/545|
|Safety certification support and guidance preliminary to pre-engagement request under Art. 3(2) & 4(5) of Regulation (EU) 2018/763|
|Support and guidance preliminary to formal application for a single safety certificate under Art. 4(1), (2) & (3) of Regulation (EU) 2018/763|
|Collaboration with NSAs - Authorisations without approvals under Art. 55 of Directive (EU) 2016/797|
|Collaboration with NSAs - Help in the NSAs decision on the need to grant authorisation or not of a project modification including ERTMS under Art. 18 of Directive (EU) 2016/797|
|Training and other appropriate activities related to the railway safety and interoperability legislation and related products of the Agency such as registers, implementation guides and recommendations Art. 43 of Regulation (EU) 2016/796|
|Support and guidance to decide and to advise at the applicants request according to Art. 30 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/796|
|Collaboration with all parties involved (including the applicant and the relevant NSA’s) as requested in Art. 30 of Regulation (EU) 2016/796|
The requestor may be additionally contacted by the Agency to clarify or confirm the request prior to rendering the service(s).
The charges shall be imposed to the requestor of the service(s) and shall reflect the actual cost of each individual provision of service. If demanded by the requestor, non-binding estimates of charges related to the requested service(s) and information on the invoices shall be provided prior to rendering the service(s). In such case additional charges for issuing estimates apply.
The Agency shall apply an hourly rate of EUR 130. The calculation of the fees and charges is foreseen in Article 3 of the Commission implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/764 of 2 May 2018.
