Types of cargo carried

Goods in transport may be classified according to the UNECE – Codes for types of cargo, packages and packaging materials, Recommendation 21, Geneva March 1986. The cargo classes are: • Liquid bulk; • Solid bulk; • Large freight container; • Other freight container; • Palletised goods; • Pre-slung goods; • Mobile, self-propelled units; • Other mobile units; • Other cargo types.
