ERA values the diversity of its team and encourage a supportive cooperation among all staff without distinction striving for excellence.

For the 2024 edition of the Women in Rail Award, ERA together with Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking, DG MOVE, ALE, CER and UNIFE will bring the spotlight on winning combinations, inspiring role models, and outstanding research and innovation achievements for Women and by Women that are bringing the railway industry forward.

Only 22% of transport workers are women. In railways, women account for only 21% of the workforce. This is far below the share in the overall labor market (46%). The European Union Agency for Railways is committed to take concrete actions to promote diversity and close the gender gap.

The Agency is performing maintenance work in the OSS. The service will not be available on 19 February between 18:00 CET and 22:00 CET.
