Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an ICT security method that verifies a user's identity by requiring at least two distinct types of authentication, based on the following principles:

  • Something you know – such as a user ID and password
  • Something you have – like a smartphone or security token
  • Something you are – for example, a fingerprint or facial recognition

When accessing an ERA application for the first time, users will be prompted to configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). By following the on-screen instructions, a device will be securely linked to their user account.

No, users cannot directly manage or replace their MFA device.

If a user changes their device, they must request an MFA reset from the Agency via [this page] (https://srm-portal.powerappsportals.com/contact-us/#MFA). They will then be prompted to re-configure their MFA like the first time.
