The European Union and India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) have introduced a new co-funding initiative under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges programme, part of Horizon Europe. This initiative allows CSIR institutes to participate in joint research with European and international partners and second their scientific and technical staff to European research organisations. Funding will be available from 2025 to 2027 for CSIR institutions involved in successful projects under the current and upcoming MSCA Staff Exchanges calls.
As previously mentioned, the 2024 MSCA Staff Exchanges call remains open, with a deadline of 5 February 2025. Consortia developing proposals are encouraged to consider partnering with CSIR entities to benefit from this co-funding scheme and strengthen their research collaborations. Eligible projects must meet MSCA requirements, include at least one CSIR institution, and undergo an additional evaluation through CSIR's International Cooperation Management System.
This initiative aims to deepen EU-India research cooperation, support researcher mobility, and facilitate collaborative projects addressing shared scientific and technological challenges. Interested organisations are invited to explore the opportunities provided by the MSCA Staff Exchanges programme.
