Recommendations for safe resumption of railway services in Europe
The European Union Agency for Railways has published the report - Fostering the railway sector through the European Green Deal – aiming at contributing to the forthcoming strategy on sustainable and smart mobility in Europe of the European Commission.
The European Union Agency for Railways is tasked with monitoring Notified Bodies (NoBos). The technical document Requirements for Conformity assessment bodies seeking notification, from June 2017, provides the framework for this activity.

The Rail Safety and Interoperability Directives of the 4th Railway Package provided Member States with a choice of two transposition deadlines – 16 June 2019, or, upon notification to the Commission and the European Union Agency for Railways, 16 June 2020.
