Fabio Sgroi has been Health & Safety Manager and under his responsibility Italo has been able to obtain and maintain the Safety Certificate necessary for operating on the railway and for some years the ISO45001 and ISO14001. After a five year experience in RFI-Italian Infrastructure Manager, he was actively involved in the start-up phase of Italo from the beginning of the activities in 2008 as responsible for training of the operating staff.

The presentation highlights the strategy and the deployment adopted by Italo to improve the interactions between humans and the elements of the context in which they operate in order to promote the Safety Culture and increase everyone's responsibility for collective improvement.

Italo is Italy’s first private high speed rail operator. It was founded in 2006, with the first commercial service carried out in 2012. Italo operates domestic routes connecting 62 stations in 54 cities with more than 110 daily services.
