Biography

Sverre Kjenne is the managing director of the ERTMS Users Group since January 2025. Kjenne was the Executive Vice President for Digitalization and technology (CTO) at Bane NOR. Under his leadership, Bane NOR has been recognized for its efforts in digitalizing the railway system. In 2022, the company received the European Railway Award's Trailblazer Award for its work on the ERTMS program. Kjenne has headed up the ERTMS program in Norway since 2011. Kjenne has an extensive background from international IT and industrial companies.
