Biography

After 18 years of service in different aspects of the ERTMS project life, such as R&D, procurement, pilot lines or generic application development, both on supplier and customer side, Nicolas Ykman joined the ERTMS Users Group since September 2025. Within his role of Operational Director, Nicolas works for empowering railways to deploy a harmonized, interoperable, and cost-efficient CCS/ERTMS system across the continent.
