Biography

After graduating from TU Karlsruhe with a degree in computer science Michael Mikulandra began his career at Nortel, where he held several senior roles in R&D, product management, and solutions marketing for the European telecommunications market. His work focused primarily on core network technologies as well as applications and services. At Kapsch CarrierCom he was responsible for the system architecture, standardization activities and engagements with regulatory bodies.

Michael currently leads the product organization at Kontron Transportation. In this role, he drives the evolution and innovation of next-generation railway communication solutions, contributing to international standardization and regulatory activities as well as EU-funded research programs. He also serves as chairman of the UNITEL committee, the telecommunications supplier group within the European rail supply industry association UNIFE.
