Lea Sophie Trampitsch-Vink

Biography

Lea Sophie Trampitsch-Vink is a leading expert in human performance modelling and management for aviation. A chartered clinical cognitive psychologist and specialist aviation psychologist, she pioneers predictive performance algorithms, neurophysiological research (EEG, biometrics), and AI-assisted workload management.
She is currently the Human Performance Lead at Austro Control in Vienna, Austria as well as Chair of the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) Human Performance Workgroup and Co-Chair of the EU Commission Expert Group on the Human Dimension in Aviation. In these roles, Lea drives a message of achieving sustainable human performance through precision data analysis and practical solutions. She has most recently developed the Synapses concept, a groundbreaking AI-powered emulator that dynamically redefines demand to optimise human-machine collaboration, prevent fatigue, and sustain high performance. Her work has also focused on the intersection of Safety Culture, Just Culture and data-driven psychological learning from human contributions to occurrences bringing together the world of 'work as imagined' vs 'work as actually done.'
A sought-after speaker and consultant, Lea is the co-editor of, Implementation Guide for AI in Aviation, which has been translated into eight languages as well as a range of other publications covering the broad spectrum of Human Factors.
