Biography

Juan Luis FUENTES DE BLAS holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), a Master's degree in Land Rail Transport from the Universidad de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and the Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles (FFE), a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the Instituto de Empresa (IE) and a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in the Interuniversity Doctorate Programme in ‘Economics and Management of Innovation and Technological Policy’ from the Autónoma, Complutense and Politécnica Universities.
He joined Adif in 2007 where he has held various positions of responsibility such as Director of Occupational Risk Prevention, Director of the Office of the general director of Human Resources and Head of Tunnel Installation Technology. Since 2018, he has been Head of the Safety Culture area.
His professional career is extensive, having worked for organisations such as Doxa Formación, Cruz Roja Española, United Parcel Service (UPS), Consultores de Automatización y Robótica, S.A. (CARSA) and the Finnish multinational GS-HYDRO.
