Biography

Almudena has a Master of Science in electronic engineering having more than 20 years of experience in Railways. She is currently working at the ERTMS Unit (ERA) co-chairing the ERTMS Operational Harmonisation workgroup among other activities. She has held several positions in companies such as Ineco and Alstom before joining the Agency in 2025. Her background is mostly in ERTMS/ETCS projects linked to safety, interoperability and management.
