Wagon carrying capacity

The maximum authorised weight a wagon can carry, excluding the wagon’s own weight, but including the tare of the intermodal transport units (ITUs). The carrying capacity of a train is the sum of the carrying capacity of all its wagons. Also referred to as ‘wagon payload’.
