Sector scheme

A scheme that is based on a relevant standard for a specific product, process, service etc. and additional requirements that are specific to the relevant sector and / or specific legislation. Accreditation may be called upon to assess the competence of conformity assessment bodies to carry out assessments with regard to such schemes.
