Railways capital stock

An estimated monetary value reflecting the current stock of physical railways transport infrastructure assets. For statistical purposes it is recommended to use the net capital value which takes into account depreciation. There are various methods such as ”the replacement cost method” or the “Perpetual Inventory Method (PIM)” that provide the net value of the assets.
