Rail passenger-kilometre (pkm)

Unit of measurement representing the transport of one rail passenger by rail over a distance of one kilometre. The distance to be taken into consideration should be the distance actually travelled by the passenger on the network. To avoid double counting, each country should count only the passenger-kilometre (pkm) performed on its territory. If this is not available, then the distance charged or estimated should be used.
