Maritime and inland port facilities

A location on a coast, lakeshore or inland waterway, where freight can be transferred from ship to land or vice versa. It includes: port areas, equipments or infrastructures normally used for, or in connection with, the provision of loading/unloading services for goods, cargo handling, handling of shipping traffic and facilities for ferryboat services. These facilities are mentioned in DIRECTIVE 2012/34/EU, ANNEX II, 2. (g) as one of the SERVICES TO BE SUPPLIED TO THE RAILWAY UNDERTAKINGS but are not defined.
