Ability of an item under given conditions of use, to be retained in, or restored to, a state in which it can perform a required function, when maintenance (3.1.2.12) is performed under given conditions and using stated procedures and resources Note 1 to entry: Given conditions include aspects that affect maintainability, such as: location for maintenance (3.1.2.12), accessibility, maintenance procedures and maintenance resources.
