Eurostat/ITF/UNECE definition: place equipped for the transhipment and storage of intermodal transport units (ITUs) between modes, one of which is rail. TAF TSI definition: 'Location which provides the space, equipment and operational environment under which the loading units (freight containers, swap bodies, semi-trailers or trailers) transfer takes place.'
