Person or organization (3.21) that can affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision or activity (3.1) EXAMPLE:Customers, owners, personnel, providers, bankers, regulators, unions, partners or society that can include competitors or opposing pressure groups. Note 1 to entry: A decision maker can be an interested party. Note 2 to entry: Impacted communities and local populations are considered to be interested parties. Note 3 to entry: This constitutes one of the common terms and core definitions of the high level structure for ISO management system standards. The original definition has been modified by adding an example and Notes 1 and 2 to entry.
