Categories of goods carried by rail

Goods in transport may be classified according to type. Examples of classification schemes are NST 2007 (Standard Goods Nomenclature for Transport Statistics) that replaces the CSTE nomenclature (Commodity Classification for Transport Statistics in Europe – UNECE) and the NST/R nomenclature (Standard Goods Nomenclature for Transport Statistics/revised – Eurostat).
