
Economic Steering Group
The Agency’s Economic Steering Group (ESG) is a standing advisory working group which supports the Agency’s economic analysis work in an advisory capacity.
The Agency’s Economic Steering Group (ESG) is a standing advisory working group composed of ERA’s Representative Bodies (RBs), the European Commission, Member State authorities, National Safety Authorities (NSAs), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and other international organisations active in statistics and rail economics.
In line with its mandate, the ESG supports the Agency’s economic analysis work in an advisory capacity. Given the Agency’s strategic focus on strengthening its contribution to the competitiveness of the European railway sector, as well as the maturity of its impact assessment methodology, the ESG serves as the primary forum for discussing the economic aspects of analyses in the fields of safety and interoperability.
