The European Union Agency for Railways has published the report - Fostering the railway sector through the European Green Deal – aiming at contributing to the forthcoming strategy on sustainable and smart mobility in Europe of the European Commission.

The report gives a general overview on the European Union Targets and European Green Deal and explains the main reasons why railway is the greenest mode of mass transport. It presents a strategy for a rail renaissance to foster the rail sector to achieve the climate goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
