Radek Čech works as Director of International Affairs Department at Správa železnic (SZCZ) since 2020. He was Director of Strategy Department (SZCZ) from 2015 to 2019. He has worked at the Ministry of Transport and České dráhy, a.s. (Czech Railways, JSC), mainly focusing on the interoperability of the European railway system. He is also a member of the European Commission Railway Interoperability and Safety Committee (RISC) on behalf of Czechia until present date.  

ERTMS Implementation on the Czech Railway Network

The aim of the presentation is to show the overall ERTMS strategy, the progress made in Czechia in ERTMS track-side and on-board implementation, including the preparation of the ETCS-only operation on the Czech network as well as financing schemes for the RUs and practical experience from the infrastructure and operational point of view. The presentation will be held together with Mr. Jindřich Kušnír form the Czech MoT.
