Laurence Zenner Laurence Zenner has been General Manager of CFL cargo since 1st January 2018. She started her career in 1995 as a Research engineer at a metal hall manufacturer and joined the CFL Group in 1999, where she managed various activities in the Fixed Installations Department. She was in charge of the Infrastructure Management Department from 2012 to 2014, and was appointed General Secretary in March 2014. She was also Quality Manager of the CFL Group from April 2016 to December 2017. |
Koen Cuypers Koen Cuypers joined the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in 2001 as a mobility advisor. His main focus is on the development of rail freight transport and he is a specialist in the field of port-rail systems. In his job, he works with various stakeholders on developing strategies to improve rail operations in the port. He represents the port in various advisory boards such as the Industry, Logistics and Transport Committee of the European Seaports Organisation and the Terminal Advisory Groups of the European Rail Freight Corridors 1, 2 and 8. He holds master degrees in political sciences and business administration and is an amateur astronomer. Koen Cuypers a rejoint le Port d'Anvers-Bruges en 2001 en tant que conseiller en mobilité. Il est spécialiste du développement du transport ferroviaire de marchandises et des systèmes portuaires et ferroviaires. Dans le cadre de son travail, il collabore avec diverses parties prenantes à l'élaboration de stratégies visant à améliorer les opérations ferroviaires dans le port. Il représente le port d'Anvers-Bruges dans divers conseils consultatifs tels que le comité de l'industrie, de la logistique et des transports de l’ESPO et les groupes consultatifs des terminaux des corridors européens de fret ferroviaire 1, 2 et 8. Mickael Varga Mickael Varga works since 2006 at the EU Agency for Railways in Valenciennes. He is in charge of the development of various telematics TSIs. His main task at ERA is to make telematics interoperability happen in Europe and in a multi modal environment. He is also in charge of supervising the implementation of telematics. Before taking up this role, he spent 9 years at UIC (International Union of Railways) in Paris working in IT projects an development of IT protocol interfaces for rail transportations. Mickael Varga travaille depuis 2006 à l'Agence de l’Union européenne pour les chemins de fer à Valenciennes. Il est responsable du développement des STI relatives aux applications télématiques. Sa tâche principale à l'ERA est de rendre possible l'interopérabilité télématique en Europe et dans un environnement multimodal. Il est également chargé de superviser la mise en œuvre de ces STI. Avant d'occuper ce poste, il a passé 9 ans à l'UIC (Union internationale des chemins de fer) à Paris, où il a travaillé sur des projets informatiques et sur le développement d'interfaces de protocoles informatiques dans le ferroviaire. |
Mitchell van Balen Mitchell van Balen is a transport economist working in the Analysis team of the European Union Agency for Railways. His activities cover impact assessments, economic analyses and assessments of safety level data. Prior to the Agency, he worked for the Joint Research Centre and in transport consultancy. He obtained a PhD in Business Economics at the University of Brussels (VUB). Mitchell van Balen est économiste des transports et travaille au sein de l'équipe d'analyse de l'Agence de l'Union européenne pour les chemins de fer. Ses activités couvrent les études d'impact, les analyses économiques et les évaluations des données de niveau de sécurité. Avant de rejoindre l'Agence, il a travaillé pour le Centre commun de recherche (JRC) et dans le conseil en transport. Il a obtenu un doctorat en économie d'entreprise à l'Université de Bruxelles (VUB). |
Daniel Mansholt Head of Railway Development HPA Daniel studied law and initially worked in a municipal port administration in Lower Saxony from 2010. In 2014 he joined the Hamburg Port Authority, where he started as a key account manager for the operators of private sidings. Since 2016, he has headed the Rail Development department and focuses on collecting and providing data, evaluating future infrastructure needs and developing projects from them. Daniel likes to spend his free time with his family and garden work. |
Turi Fiorito EFIP Director Turi Fiorito is the Director of the European Federation of Inland Ports. He has over 8 years of expertise in EU transport policy. On behalf of EFIP he represents over 200 inland ports across Europe along all the major and minor waterways. His focus areas are infrastructure development, green logistics, alternative energy, urban logistics rail and inland waterway transport. He was the former Transport Policy Advisor to Member of the European Parliament Wim van de Camp, working on legislation such as the Mobility Package, Port Services Regulation and the Fourth Railway Package. Mr Fiorito has an expertise on EU legislative processes, policy making and institutional practices. He combines this with his knowledge of the entire transport and logistics sector. |
