Dr. Michaela Schwarz currently works as safety culture and human factors expert at ÖBB Production. Her main responsibility is the assessment and development of human and organizational factors (HOF) for train drivers and wagon masters. Michaela holds a doctoral degree in organizational psychology with a specialization in safety and just culture. She brings more than 15 years of experience from the aviation industry. She very much enjoys sharing and transferring knowledge and practical skills from aviation to rail and vice versa. Michaela is currently engaged in a project related to exploring hypotheses on managing signals passed at danger (SPAD) as precursor for train collisions and derailments and is looking forward to learning from your experiences.
