Kaido Zimmermann has been the Chairman of The Board and General Director at Estonian Railways from the start of 2021. He has decades of management experience in the railway sector, including also at AS Eesti Raudtee until 2012, in-depth knowledge of railway infrastructure and logistics.

Kaido Zimmermann has also worked as the head of the planning and design department at RB Rail AS, a joint venture of Rail Baltica and in Latvian Railways. He has obtained a master's degree in railway construction at Tallinn University of Technology.
