IPA Summit 2019

The Agency is supporting the States of the Western Balkans and Turkey with funds of the European Union’s Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA).

Building on the first European Railway Summit held in 2018, the objective of the IPA Summit is to raise awareness and start working on a common understanding of Safety Culture and Just/Fair culture in the Western Balkans and Turkey.

The event will be divided into two main parts: first, a specific signing ceremony of the European Railway Safety Culture Declaration to demonstrate the commitment of railway leaders and safety managers to promote a more positive safety culture throughout the railway industry. In addition, a series of workshops will be proposed to give a more practical approach to Safety Leadership and Safety Culture assessment as developed in the European Safety Culture Model.

The event is jointly organised with the Serbian Directorate for Railways and will be opened by Ms. Zorana MIHAJLOVIC, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia.

Please note that interpretation services from English to Albanian and Serbian will be provided during the meeting.
