The Agency is pleased to announce the next edition of the Agency's biennial Human and Organisational Factors (HOF) Conference, taking place on 4 and 5 November 2026 in Valenciennes.
This conference is relevant for all railway stakeholders interested in enhancing safety and performance through the practical application of Human and Organisational Factors.
The HOF 2026 Conference will showcase concrete examples of how HOF can be integrated into Safety Management Systems (SMS) and daily railway operations. Experts from across Europe, including representatives from industry, research organisations, and railway stakeholders, will share initiatives, experiences, lessons learned, success factors, and common challenges encountered along the way.
HOF play a crucial role in improving both system safety and operational performance.
What to expect:

The number of on-site participants is limited. We therefore encourage you to register early to secure your seat. Participation to the conference is free of charge. The Agency does not reimburse any costs which participants may have.
