The 14th ERA Budapest Workshop 2026 will take place online on 22 October 2026. The workshop is jointly organised by the European Union Agency for Railways and the Department of Railway Authority of the Ministry for Transport and Public Works of Hungary.
This year’s workshop will feature presentations delivered by the Executive Director and experts from the European Union Agency for Railways, alongside representatives from the EU Directorate General for Mobility and Transport and distinguished speakers from National Safety Authorities and European railway organisations.
The theme of the workshop is: "Advancing Rail Safety and Interoperability through the 4th Railway Package".
The workshop will start with a morning plenary session. After a lunch break, the workshop will continue in two sections:
- Railway Interoperability Section
- Railway Safety Section
Participants will be able to choose which presentations to attend in the afternoon, with seamless transitions arranged between sessions.
