Biography

Dragos works in ERA’s Operational Data Unit and has coordinated several topical working groups focused on detailed infrastructure modelling and the management of technical changes through applicability and validity conditions. He is one of the authors of the ERA Ontology, the first officially adopted and legally binding railway ontology within the European Union framework, and manages the EU Register of Infrastructure (RINF). With a background in Software Engineering from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Computers and Electronics in Craiova (Romania), he brings a passion for turning complex data into usable knowledge, focusing on making railway data modelling both practical and future-proof.
