Trainset

Composition of driven and non-driven bodies that cannot be separated or reconfigured outside the workshop. Trainsets may be coupled together to form a train provided that the coupling is compatible. Trainsets (coupled or not) are controlled from one cabin. A railcar alone does not constitute a trainset. Also referred to as ‘multiple-unit set’ or ‘multiple-unit’
