Necessary and sufficient causes (NSC) - left side

In Bow-tie Terminology: A term referring to the immediate causes that can provoke a critical event. For a given critical event, the list of NSCs is supposed to be exhaustive, which means that at least one of the NSCs must be fulfilled so that the critical event can occur.
