Control-Command and Signalling Subsystems

They are defined in Annex II of Directive (EU) 2016/797 as: (a) Trackside control-command and signalling as: ‘all the trackside equipment required to ensure safety and to command and control movements of trains authorised to travel on the network.’ (b) On-board control-command and signalling as ‘all the on-board equipment required to ensure safety and to command and control movements of trains authorised to travel on the network’.
