What is the ERA Academy
To meet a growing demand for reliable regulatory knowledge and to fulfil its mandate, the ERA Academy develops and implements targeted communication, training and dissemination activities.
Activities
Its work includes:
- Coordinating ERA events and conferences as well as supporting ERA expert speakers’ participation to events organised by external entities;
- Producing webinars;
- Organising and delivering training and e-learning courses;
- Implementing the Railway Educational Inventory to spreading information of railway education in Europe;
- Creating and maintaining the Railway Terminology Collection;
- Managing the e-learning/Moodle platform;
- Responding to requests from stakeholders (i.e. individuals, rail organisations, national safety authorities, universities, etc.);
- Advising EU projects (i.e. STAFFER);
The ERA Academy acts as a facilitator, respecting the principles of proportionality and subsidiarity.

- Agency Regulation (EU) 2016/796, Articles 39 and 43;
