Ulf Bjersing

Technical expert for Sweden

Ulf has a long experience working with data modelling and system integration in the public transport sector. He has since many years actively contributed to the development of Transmodel and several Transmodel-based exchange protocols. Ulf has a Master of Science degree from Chalmers University of Technology and is currently employed at Hogia Public Transport Products AB in Sweden. He won the InformNorden IT-award of 2015.

Advantages of using a model-driven design approach when creating data exchange protocols

It will be much easier to achieve the goal of interoperable systems, if all the systems in the domain are using similar definitions, structures, and meanings for their data. The speaker will present the CEN Public Transport approach where multiple data exchange protocols, across different types of implementations, are based on the same shared public transport conceptual data model using consistent data semantics.

Transmodel is the CEN European Reference Data Model for Public Transport Information
It provides an abstract model of common public transport concepts and data structures
