Train accident in Spain

We are profoundly saddened by the tragic train accident that occurred in Spain, near Adamuz. 

Our thoughts are with the ones who have lost their lives, with their families and friends, with all who have been injured or affected by this devastating event. 

We also extend our deepest appreciation to the response teams on the ground. Their courage and dedication in such difficult circumstances are truly remarkable. 

Together with the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Railways is closely monitoring the situation and stands ready to provide any support needed to the Spanish authorities.
