After graduating, Michael Mikulandra joined Nortel Networks and held senior positions in R&D, product management and solutions marketing for the European telecommunication market with focus on core network solutions and application & services. In Kapsch CarrierCom Michael was responsible for the system architecture, standardization activities and regulatory bodies engagements. He is now heading the Kontron Transportation products organisation and is leading the next generation railway communication activities in standardisation and, regulatory bodies, as well as ERJU research projects. Michael is also the chairman of the UNITEL committee, which is the telecommunication supplier group within the European rail supply industry association UNIFE.
