Götz Walther holds a MSc in Economics from the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin). Götz started his career in Transport Planning (Hannover, Gdańsk). He has been working within VDV, the Association of German Transport Companies, since 2001, as a Head of Railway Operations since 2004. He has been coordinating the VDV recommendations to its members, in the field of railway operations and he is the manager of VDV’s committee of railway operations. Since 2008, he is member of ERA’s TSI OPE Working Party. Götz is also engaged also in other topics, such as Train Drivers´ Directive and cross-border operations.
