A positive safety culture is an essential element of sustainable safety management in railways and focusing on technical and organisational aspects is not sufficient. (Reg. EU 2018/762)

This interactive webinar explains safety culture in the framework of the European railway safety culture model. The model is an effective tool to support all the players in the railway system to contribute to improving railway safety. It describes how organisational culture articulates with safety. The attributes of a positive safety culture in the model allow users to assess safety culture and to define areas for improvement.
