SAVE THE DATE - On 26 March 2026, the Agency will host a webinar presenting the updated Generic ETCS Drivers’ Handbook, featuring a live demonstration of the new online tool and a Q&A session with the experts involved in its development.
The European Union Agency for Railways is pleased to announce a one-hour webinar – “Generic ETCS Drivers' Handbook: the Harmonised Operation Manual” – to be held on 26 March 2026. In the webinar, we will present the updated version of the Generic ETCS Driver’s Handbook.
This new edition reflects the latest regulatory and technical developments following the adoption of Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1695 and aligns with Baseline 4 Release 1 specifications (up to system version 3.0), while continuing to support Baseline 3.
During the webinar, participants will discover the handbook through a live demonstration of the tool, including its new online HTML version, which offers improved navigation, search functions and multimedia content. The session will also provide the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the experts involved in the project.
As with all ERA webinars, participation will be free of charge and without prior registration. The session will be recorded, and the video recording will be made available afterwards on the ERA website.
The webinar will also be an opportunity to highlight the upcoming ERTMS 2026 Conference, organised by the Agency from 21 to 23 April 2026 in Valenciennes, France, bringing together policymakers, industry representatives and railway stakeholders to discuss the latest developments and deployment of ERTMS in Europe and beyond.
