Dirk has studied electrical engineering from 1987 to 1992. He has been working for Siemens since 1992 and undertook roles such as: System Manager High Voltage Communication Systems from 1992 to 1997; Software Development actor for High Speed trains from 1997 to 2000; Bid Responsible for High Speed Trains and Sales Manager of Locomotives from 2000 to 2012; Group Leader for Train Protection systems from 2012 to 2015 and currently works as an ERTMS Coordinator Locomotives Sales since 2016.   

ETCS System compatibility (ESC) from the perspective of a vehicle manufacturer

I would like to share the experiences we made for the homologation activities of an interoperable locomotive with various ESC-types in different European countries.
