The European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) is pleased to announce that the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community, in collaboration with ERA, announces a call for applications for seconded traineeships.
This initiative, financially supported by European Union, aims to strengthen institutional capacities and support the integration of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine into the European transport framework.
Programme Highlights
- Application Period: 19 December 2025 - 15 January 2026
- Eligibility: Nationals of Moldova, or Ukraine with a university degree or relevant railway work experience, and strong English proficiency.
- Opportunities: Traineeships of up to three months, commencing in April 2026.
- Benefits: Monthly grant, travel expense reimbursement, and access to training opportunities reserved for ERA staff.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible candidates include employees from:
- Ministries responsible for transport
- Organisations playing a major role in the implementation of the railway reforms in the field of rail safety and interoperability, e.g. NSAs and NIBs
- Railway companies (preference for infrastructure managers to avoid conflicts of interest)
- Universities
Application and Selection
Interested individuals should complete the application form and submit it to piu
transport-community [dot] org (piu[at]transport-community[dot]org) by the closing date. Priority will be given to applicants employed by organisations playing a major role in the implementation of the railway reforms in the field of rail safety and interoperability, e.g. NSAs and NIBs. ERA will participate in the selection process to assign mentors for successful candidates.
