Biography
Marcel de la Haye is Technical Director at the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) in Brussels since 01/09/2024. He has nearly 15 years of experience in the rail sector on strategic and operational level working for both, SNCF and Deutsche Bahn. As Deputy Director in the SNCF Group Strategy Department, he followed the political pillar of the 4th railway package and different group strategy projects.
As managing director of rail freight operators in Germany he managed staff, assets, contracts and operations in particular for the steel industry in the Ruhr area. He worked as a Project Manager in the European DAC Delivery Programme and the DB Group programme on Digital Automatic Coupling. Born in Aachen, Germany, he holds Master’s degrees in Contemporary European Studies (University of Bath, SciencesPo Paris) and Public Management (ENA) and Bachelor’s in Economics, Social Sciences and Political Sciences.
