Benoît Gilson

Biography

Graduated as a journalist from the University of Liège, he began his career at the newspaper “La Dernière Heure” and the magazine “Trends-Tendance”. His areas of expertise are transport (aviation and railways) and public enterprises.

In 2005, he joined Infrabel, the Belgian railway infrastructure manager. There, he held the positions of Director of Communications, Corporate & Public Affairs and also Director of Strategy. In August 2020, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer by the Federal Government, a mandate that he still exercises today.
