ERADIS updates the [Validity] field automatically to “Expired” when the “Valid until” date has passed.
Published EC Certificates cannot be modified, to do so, the NoBo one must request the Agency to un-publish the relevant Certificate sending an email to ERADIS. Once the Certificate has been un-published, one is able to modify it and re-submit it to the Agency for publication.
The “Certificate type” field is disabled when an “Interoperability Constituent” is selected. To enable it, the option “Please select…” has to be chosen form the dropdown list in the field “Interoperability Constituent”. Please note that this is explained in the “information message” linked to the “Certificate type” when creating a Certificate in ERADIS.
A NoBo user can access these options from the main page of the “NoBo EC Certificates, NoBo QMS Approvals and NoBo ISVs” section of ERADIS. They are located at the top of the page.
It can also be done from an opened Certificate. In this case, the buttons to access these options are located at the bottom of the page.
Pending discussions and decision at NB Rail level to find a harmonized procedure.
ERADIS offers two alternatives to replace a Certificate: AMEND and WITHDRAW.
The main difference between these two options is the way they are labelled in the “Status” column in ERADIS.
In this case, instead of using the “amend” function, the previous Certificates should be “withdrawn”. Please note that the reason for the withdrawal (i.e., that they have been replaced) must be mentioned in the comment field, always including the “Certificate number” of the new one.
