Maria is the President of EIM as well as member in the advisory Board of ADIF, being responsible for its strategic plans and cross-cutting activities. CEO and Chairwoman of ADIF during the last 2.5 years, she has held many managerial positions in design and planning of the HS network for about 26 years. She is a Civil Engineer, with a Degree in Law and a Master’s degree in international strategic management. She is also a Professor at several Universities & member of the Editorial and Drafting Committee of the Public works Magazine.

ERTMS as facilitator for railway liberalization

It will be shared with the audience how a massive ERTMS deployment could play a key role in a railway liberalization process (or development of the 4RP), making enter in the market easier and more attractive for RUs, highlighting what ADIF has done and also what ERA has developed. A short explanation will be given about the necessities for ERTMS to be more accessible for RUs as well as a brief analysis of the organizations involved (ERA, ERJU, etc…) and the ERTMS Stakeholders Platform Board.
