Mr van Houten graduated as an Electrical Engineer. He has more than 30 years of experience in railways at several positions, mainly in the field of signalling / command control systems. Active in several European activities and chair of European Rail Infrastructure Managers’ ERTMS / CCS group.

Co-lead for Workshop 4 - How to optimise cost for the ERTMS Lifecycle for Trackside and On-board

In this workshop we will focus on identifying the cost drivers when implementing ERTMS by having a closer look at CAPEX and OPEX. After identification of these cost drivers, the workshop will focus on gathering input from possible measures to make the ERTMS implementation more cost-efficient.
